Hi, I’m Florin Lazar!

For the past four years, I’ve been working as the Chief Operating Officer (and sometimes co-founder) for several startups in the UK, France, and Romania, acting as the Founder & CEO’s right hand.

I’ve been part of startups in different industries, stages, and in distributed teams. Each experience has been unique, but they all have one thing in common: the founder’s life is busy and stressful.

Founders have to handle everything—vision, sales, funding, partnerships, legal, accounting, you name it. They’re constantly working to bring money into the team, which means there’s a continuous level of stress. Meanwhile, it’s tough for them to focus on “internal operations,” making sure everyone’s delivering according to the plan and feeling good in such a high-pressure environment.

In short, founders have way too many balls in the air.

I also get that hiring a full-time COO can be a big expense if a startup doesn’t have a stable budget for at least 12 months or isn’t ready for rapid scaling.

At the same time, what I’ve learned along the way is that most startups need some organization, a focus on the right priorities, and structure.

With all that in mind, I created this page, where my goal is to help startups grow to the point where they can bring on a full-time COO.
